Far Networks is strongly committed to promoting corporate sustainability. Realizing the importance of a responsible approach to the environment and society, we have adopted a number of initiatives and practices that guide our daily operations. First, at Far Networks we have implemented a policy of sustainable resource management. We have implemented state-of-the-art technological solutions to optimize energy use and reduce CO2 emissions. We are committed to minimizing paper waste, favoring the use of digital documents and electronic communications. We also promote the adoption of recycling practices within our offices and encourage our employees to use eco-friendly means of transportation for business activities.
THE ENERGY OF THE SUN
During the year 2018, we invested in the construction of a photovoltaic system that has generated a total of 113 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity in recent years through continuous operation.
We wanted to reduce our dependence on traditional energy resources by contributing significantly to clean and sustainable energy production.
WE ARE "PLASTIC FREE"
One step at a time, we have greatly reduced the use of plastic from our locations.
By introducing water purifiers and making customized water bottles, we incentivize the elimination of plastic bottles.
Ceramic or biodegradable cups have taken the place of disposable cups made of non-recyclable materials.
COLUMNS IN THE PARKING LOT
We recently installed three charging stations for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the parking lot of our Cernusco (MI) headquarters. A project that is still being expanded and will also reach the other locations.
Electric vehicle charging stations allow our employees and visitors to charge their cars conveniently and efficiently.
We want to push the adoption of greener means of transportation and the promotion of sustainable mobility.
WHAT IS THE AIR IN THE OFFICE?
In our ongoing commitment to people's well-being and environmental compliance, we have begun monitoring the quality of the air and space within our offices. We recognize the importance of creating a healthy and comfortable work environment that promotes the productivity and well-being of our employees.
To achieve this goal, we have implemented a monitoring system that allows us to accurately assess indoor air quality. This system detects key parameters such as the presence of pollutants, humidity, temperature, and ventilation. Real-time data collection provides us with a detailed overview of air quality in work spaces, enabling us to take timely action when needed.
